Boyd L. Bailey, Jr., M.D.
Residency Program Director
Family Medicine
Dr. Bailey received a BS in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alabama. A medical degree was earned at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Special interests include residency education management, general adult medicine, and allergies.

Maria Luisa Oquendo, M.D.
Family Medicine
Dr. Maria Oquendo received her M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. and Physician Executive Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. She trained in family medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

 

 

 

 
John Mitchell, MD
Family Medicine
Dr. Mitchell is a native of Birmingham who joined the faculty in 2006. His pre-med studies were at Asbury College and at Birmingham-Southern, where he received a BS degree. After earning his MD at South Alabama, he completed residency at the UAB Selma Family Medicine program. He practiced in the Mississippi Delta for ten years before returning to Alabama. He is Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Vivek Verma, MD
Family Medicine

Dr. Vivek Verma received his M.D. from Mumbai University, his Master in Applied Genomics from the University of Connecticutt, and completed his training in Omaha Nebraska at the UNMC Family Medicine Residency. Board certified by the American Board of family Medicine.
